2024 Studio Update

In 2019 our studio set out to build StoryLoom, a platform where writers could find an audience for their visual narrative worlds, improve their craft through analytics, and make money while maintaining ownership of their IP.

We knew it would not be easy. Despite the hard work of both our team and the independent writers writing for the platform, StoryLoom has not met our goals for sustainability. As a result, we are closing StoryLoom on February 29th and will make sure that writers are able to download their scripts.

Sadly, this will result in a round of layoffs at Pixelberry. This is something we never wanted to do, but it will allow us to continue adding new features and stories on Choices.

The employees affected by the layoff have been given a 60-day notice and will receive severance. Leaders at Pixelberry, including some who are also being laid off, will be working hard to help as many of our affected employees through resume and interview workshops, in preparation for a virtual job fair that will be hosted by our studio. (If you are from the games, publishing, or tech industry and are hiring bright, passionate people, please contact our leaders via LinkedIn.)

We thank our fans for supporting our team through both our highest highs and lowest lows.

With a heavy heart,

Pixelberry Leadership
