This November, we surrender to the newest Choices story added to our library. 😉 Curious what awaits in this steamy novel? We sat down with the book team to get you an inside look!
Could you give us a glimpse of what players can expect when they enter the world of Surrender?
Megan: In Surrender, you start playing as a woman who gets drawn into the world of BDSM when she catches her husband cheating on her with a dominatrix! The more she learns about dom/sub dynamics, the more intrigued she is... until she ends up a part of that lifestyle herself.
Ooo... Are there any particular characters that you're excited for players to meet? We've seen some of the art and let's just say it's fire.
Megan: There are a lot of fun characters (including our sexy love interest, of course), but I definitely have a soft spot for Reese, the love interest's half-sister.
Janey: One of my favorite characters so far has been Malorie, the main character’s coworker. She has such a spark and isn’t afraid to tell it like it is!
Emily: Reagan is by far one of the most intriguing and sexy love interests we’ve created in Choices. I think players should be really excited to get to know this intelligent, arresting, and compassionate character!
Amanda: Totally agree with Emily. Additionally, I think the art for Reagan is spectacular and very attractive!
Speaking of, we've heard players will get a chance to play as their love interest... Tell us more! We want to know about all the new features.
Megan: We wanted to give our players the chance to experience the story as both the sub and the dom, but it didn't feel true for the main character to be interested in the dom side right away. So we decided to experiment with playing as both the main character and the love interest!
Icy: Getting to play both sides of a relationship and understand what goes on in Reagan's thought process is refreshing. I hope everyone will also enjoy understanding Reagan on a more personal level as you play through the chapters.
We can't wait for players to see them! Looking back, were there any funny or interesting moments during the creation of Surrender?
Megan: Brainstorming a story like this for work was an adventure, to say the least. We often joke that NSFW doesn't apply to us. 😉
Emily: In preparation for this book, the team watched 50 Shades of Grey together… We had A LOT of comments.
Icy: We hid a small easter egg in one of the backgrounds, I'm curious if our fans will be able to find it.
Janey: Every moment working on Surrender has been so much fun. I’ve never laughed harder at work than I do with this team. A time that was especially… interesting, was the brainstorm session for the art of the opening scene.
Amanda: This will be the first book that Choices will release about BDSM romance; so our team has definitely found some interesting moments where the art/aesthetic for this book needed to stick its landing. Everyone on this team has contributed great (and hilarious) ideas, making this experience unique altogether! I wouldn't trade these moments for anything.

Emily: Be prepared for what may be our steamiest book yet!
